In this section, I would like to highlight to my viewers how to screen stocks using your free trading platform - poems.com.sg. This method is very useful for fundamental investor looking for good and stable company to park your investment.
The screening rules are very simple, it is just a few questions that you want to know
1- Is the company has a stable yield stock that beats inflation?
2- Is the company stable and have any cash flow issue?
3- Is the company at any discount value?
Based on these 3 rules, I setup simple entry rules using basic financial ratio.
1- Look for Yield > 5-10%
2- Look for Current Ratio > 1-5, Debt / Equity < 0-30%
3- Price/Book Value, < 0.5-1
With this setup, you can simply find your answer to value investing. If you are using poems platform, just go to STOCK -> RESEARCH -> STOCK SCREENER. The key thing is that you must know what you want to enter to find the value stock. In this blog, I have provided you the parameters for your value investing parameter.
Note : In any investment, I have only provided you the Fundamental Analysis of Quantitative Analysis. It is equally important that you study the Qualitative Analysis Part to ensure you understand the business too.
